Health Monthly for Month Commencing: Friday 01 January 2021

   Aries Friday 01 January 2021  Mar 21 - Apr 19
You might begin the year with a lot of restless energy or a feeling that you need to be more active than you have been in 2020. This is good for setting New Year’s resolutions but with a need to be aware that you won’t always have the same motivation. While that is often the case, with Mars leaving Aries on 7th January this is when your energy levels will settle back to a more even and sustained pace. Get motivated in the New Year but wait until the second week of the month to get a feel for the right amount of activity that will be right for you. The Moon will make its first visit to your health sector for the year from 3rd January to 5th January and again from 30th January, each time giving you a chance to check in with what your body is telling you.

   Taurus Friday 01 January 2021  Apr 20 - May 20
Don’t be alarm by a lack of energy or motivation as you move into the New Year and definitely don’t push through it. It is there for a reason and that reason is an important chance to recharge your batteries before Mars returns to Taurus on 7th January. This is when you will catch your second wind and as the warrior planet of the cosmos is a planet that needs to move, this is when you will have more energy, will feel more motivated and will naturally want something to channel this into. The Moon makes its first visit to your health sector for the year from 5th January to 7th January so is there when Mars returns. As well as a better read on what your body is telling you, the Moon will help you witness the transition from unmotivated to motivated.

   Gemini Friday 01 January 2021  May 21 - Jun 21
While your motivation may have waned over Christmas and both diet and exercise may have been ignored over the holiday period, it was probably just what you needed. The last two planets in your health sector left just before Christmas and while your motivation may have left with them, both the desire to look and feel good and the sense of commitment they left you with is still there. You might need to dust it off again in the New Year but you will get that chance when the Moon makes its first visit to your health sector for the year from 7th January to 10th January. This is the Moon’s first visit since those planets left just before Christmas so chances are it will all come flooding back to you. Until then, don’t give yourself a hard time.

   Cancer Friday 01 January 2021  Jun 22 - Jul 22
Starting the year with Venus and the asteroid Juno in your health sector is the perfect combination, especially when it comes to a chance to push the ‘reset’ button as you move into the New Year. Until leaving on 9th January Venus, the planet of love and beauty will continue to fuel a desire to look and feel good and this is providing the motivation to align your New Year’s resolutions with this. However, we all know what happens to New Year’s resolutions but there is a chance that won’t happen this time. That is because you not only begin the year with the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment here but she will stay in your health sector until November.

   Leo Friday 01 January 2021  Jul 23 - Aug 22
The Sun will always spend the first three weeks of each year in your health sector, shining the solar spotlight on your health needs, situation and matters. Because Saturn and Jupiter left just before Christmas you are unlikely to encounter the challenges of the past but if you are still dealing with health issues these will be easier to deal with and will feel lighter. A New Moon on 13th January will bring a chance for new beginnings and to push the ‘reset’ button. The Moon is here from 12th January to 14th January, giving you a better read on what your body is telling you. Also there will be Venus, with the planet of love and beauty returning on 9th January to fuel a desire to look and feel good.

   Virgo Friday 01 January 2021  Aug 23 - Sep 22
There is a whole new focus on your health in 2021 and it began with Jupiter and Saturn’s return to your health sector just before Christmas. While they began aligned they are already starting to separate, with Jupiter moving out front to promote a sense of what’s possible while Saturn is moving into a backstop position, from where he will provide the determination to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes. Mercury’s return on 9th January will be a chance to start doing your homework while the Sun will return, turning the solar spotlight onto your health needs, situation and matters on 20th January. The Moon’s first visit to your health sector for the year will give you a read on what your body is trying to tell you from 14th January to 16th January.

   Libra Friday 01 January 2021  Sep 23 - Oct 23
You are likely to begin the year with a curious mix of confidence when it comes to health, beauty and fitness but with a lack of motivation bordering on lethargy. Rather than bother you or dent your confidence this is more likely to inspire wishful thinking, where you are spending more time dreaming about what you might want to aspire to or what goals you might want to set. There is zero call to break the spell and get motivated because your sixth sense will be telling you that this is exactly where you need to be. By the time more practical stars arrive next month you will know what you want and when the motivation kicks in there will be no stopping you.

   Scorpio Friday 01 January 2021  Oct 24 - Nov 21
Whether it is getting stuck into new health or fitness resolutions for the New Year or just staying on track, the stars favour starting strong and then dialling back. Until Mars leaves your health sector on 7th January you will need to move and there is a chance to take advantage of that. This allows you to get started on New Year’s Day, hitting the pavement, the gym or setting out on new resolutions. Pack as much into the first seven days as possible knowing that when Mars leaves a lot of that restless energy will leave with him. However, if you can catch that wave you can then dial back to something more sustainable. The Moon’s return to your health sector from 18th January to 21st January will be a chance to check in.

   Sagittarius Friday 01 January 2021  Nov 22 - Dec 21
The first seven days of January are so different from what comes next that you can’t judge the year by how it begins. On the health front, there is likely to be a lack of energy, motivation and rather than looking forward, ready for new beginnings you are more likely to be looking back. Things will change dramatically when Mars returns to your health sector on 7th January, where for the next two months he will fire up your motivation, bring a fresh load of energy and a need to move. This will be a good time to join a gym or start getting more physically active but not until 7th January. You have permission to spend the first week of 2021 as a couch potato.

   Capricorn Friday 01 January 2021  Dec 22 - Jan 19
While you are likely to begin the year with a desire to take it easy, making the most of any downtime this is unlikely to turn you into a couch potato. As well as a genuine need for time out to recharge your batteries, there is an inner sense of motivation to get active and stay on a healthy path that is always there to access without making demands on you. It is there when you need and want it but this isn’t a monster that needs to be constantly fed. The Moon won’t make its first visit to your health sector for the year until 23rd January to 26th January, by which time your batteries are likely to be fully charged again.

   Aquarius Friday 01 January 2021  Jan 20 - Feb 18
Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of each year in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart and the wind down of each solar year is always a time for taking it easy, there might be a lack of motivation or energy at the start of the year. Chances are this is just what you need and after a Full Moon in your health sector in the closing days of December, you have had all the wakeup calls and messages you need for now. The Moon will come full circle, making its first visit to your health sector for the year from 26th January to 28th January, with a chance then to check in. Until then, the Full Moon in the closing days of December has left you with more than enough information and insight for now.

   Pisces Friday 01 January 2021  Feb 19 - Mar 20
While this is a month when the stars are encouraging you to pull back and where the focus is more on resting and recharging your batteries rather than becoming too active, the Moon will check in twice in order to get the balance right. There are a growing number of planets in a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart and this is calling for more time out to hear yourself think. However, you still need to move and keep active and that is where the Moon comes in. The Moon will spend the first two days of January in your health sector and will then return from 28th January to 30th January, this time as the first Full Moon of 2021. As well as giving you a better read on what your body is telling you, the Moon will check that you have the right balance between rest and activity.
